Traveling Fellowships

The Committee offers programs for Harvard students who wish to conduct research or study outside of Cambridge. Please review the information below to learn more about these opportunities.

Traveling scholarship programs include exchange programs with international universities as well as traveling fellowships for study or research. In all cases, the scholarships and fellowships support a full academic year. The Committee does not fund shorter periods of research or summer research projects.

D.A.A.D (German Academic Exchange Service) Grants for Study and Research in Germany

The Jorge Paulo Lemann Fellowships for research in Brazil

Most programs for students graduating from Harvard College are managed by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (please visit the URAF website and follow the links to the fellowships database).

When does the Committee meet to determine who receives funding?

CGS and its sub-committees meet regularly throughout the year to review applications and determine scholarship and fellowship awards. Specific deadlines and timelines are posted within the guidelines of our individual programs.

Do you offer short-term traveling fellowships?

We do not offer short term fellowships or fellowships for study/research during the summer.
