Arthur Sachs Scholarship

Arthur Sachs Scholarships are awarded to students from France who are admitted for graduate study to Harvard University. Interested students must apply for consideration before entering the U.S. and prior to the start of their Harvard programs. Application must be made to the Arthur Sachs Scholarship Committee in Paris, which nominates finalists to the Committee on General Scholarships.

Sachs Fellows will be connected with each other across the university in an academic and professional network.

There are two opportunities to apply for the Arthur Sachs Scholarship:

  1. Apply through the Fulbright Franco-American Commission for Cultural Exchange. The Fulbright program application allows you to apply simultaneously for the Arthur Sachs Fellowship and the other scholarships of the Commission’s partners. The deadline to apply for the Fulbright and Sachs Fellowships was December 1, 2025.
  2. If you missed the December 1, 2025 deadline to apply for the Arthur Sachs Fellowship through the Franco-American Commission in Paris, prospective Harvard students have a second opportunity to apply for this award through the Committee on General Scholarships at Harvard University.
